Manages and develops LIFT safety programs to include voluntary reporting, flight data analysis, investigations, and reporting. Ensures compliance with corporate, regulatory safety standards and regulations as outlined in program guidance.

Manages and promotes voluntary safety programs and reporting activities as applied to industry safety programs and best practices.
Serves as focal point for safety information regarding inquiries and the status of safety reports. Ensures all documents and records regarding the program are maintained and made available to appropriate parties as needed.
Acts as liaison between the Event Review Committee and departments for implementation of recommended changes and corrective actions. Ensures coordination and tracking of corrective action process.
Serves as Subject Matter Expert on the Safety Management System (SMS) Manual. Develops and maintains Safety Risk Management (SRM) processes for all departments.
Develops and maintains SMS training for associates.
Assists in tracking and trending SMS data and the process flow to ensure effectiveness.
Acts as liaison between software vendors and the Company to ensure functionality of infrastructure and administration.
Serves as leader of Data Analysis Group and/or Event Review Committee that review safety related information that impact each department.
Oversees data collection process of aircraft fleet in conjunction with other departmental organizations.
Maintains, develops and enhances flight data event databases.
Manages flight data Analysts and Gatekeepers.
Serves as industry contact regarding safety programs.
Manages the Internal Evaluation Program including evaluations of all operational divisions and Internal audits. Develops and maintains a schedule of audits and evaluations.
Manages Emergency Response program for LIFT.
Fosters the Company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment.
Performs various other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s (B.A. / B.S.) degree or equivalent with 3 years of related experience.
Proven leadership skills in flight training or air carrier operations, quality control, maintenance, safety or a combination.
Thorough understanding of System Safety and Risk Management principles.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Aviation.
Airman Certificate; Commercial pilot, dispatch or A&P (or comparable military experience) preferred.
Five (5) years related experience, preferably in 14 CFR Part 121 air carrier operations, quality control, maintenance, operations, safety or a combination.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction. Decisions often require some thought and are somewhat structured. Decisions tend to be short term and usually of moderate cost.
