POSITION PURPOSE

Creates and manages LIFT Academy’s communication efforts for internal and external use. Assists with the social media content and strategy, recruitment email campaigns and newsletters. Also develops and executes overall internal communication with emphasis on intranet messaging and digital signage for a variety of initiatives to engage and inform Associates, students and prospective students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Develops and executes email campaigns for student recruitment through competitive research, benchmarking, messaging and audience.

  • Creates content for blog posts and edits and organizes submitted content for regularly scheduled blog posts.

  • Seeks, edits and organizes student and staff submitted content for internal and external sharing.

  • Integrates messages across various communication platforms that include social, web and internal use.

  • Writes and manages content shared on the intranet with a strong focus on creating frequent and fresh material to be shared with students and staff.

  • Generates, edits, publishes and shares daily social media content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages candidates to take action.

  • Generates, edits, publishes and arranges content for professional printing of materials, brochures, presentations and graphics etc. for use at job fairs, promote events and support other recruitment needs.

  • Continuously improves communications by capturing and analyzing the appropriate data/metrics, insights and best practices, producing meaningful reports and then acting on the information.

  • Partners with LIFT Admissions and Flight Operations departments to discuss current and upcoming student and staffing needs, industry trends and recruitment targets.

  • Collaborates with other departments to manage reputation, identify key players and support Company sponsored events.

  • Assists in coordinating videos and choreographs photo shoots for external marketing purposes and internal asset needs.

  • Monitors and protects brand usage for internal customers approving all uses of LIFT assets, serving as liaison with vendors for LIFT branded items and collateral.

  • Maintains and updates content on company websites.

  • Host webinars for the organization.

  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned or required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications or related area or combination of education and experience.

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in journalism, internal communications or related field.

  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.

  • Knowledge of branding and brand protection.

  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.

  • Strong consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage vendor relationships.

  • Ability to work at a fast pace with minimum supervision while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work well with others and across multiple departments.

  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.

  • Microsoft SharePoint and Word Press knowledge and experience preferred. Demonstrable social analytics tools knowledge.

  • Familiarity with Google Ad Words and Analytics.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Strong writing and reading skills required. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
