Duties and Responsibilities:


Coordinates all aspects of Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) to achieve the highest standard of individual and crew performance. Provides effective training that will enhance professional pilot qualifications to a level that exceeds the present standards under Part 121.


  • Coordinates all AQP related activities with the appropriate managers, including the Manager of Pilot training, Program Manager, and the Manager of Flight Standards.

  • Develops and approves all AQP curriculums.

  • Develops continuous improvements of AQP to receive FAA approval and acceptance of the AQP data base.

  • Oversees all AQP training programs which includes the accomplishment of periodic audits of ground training and flight training.

  • Interfaces with the Federal Aviation Administration Extended Review Team for all AQP related procedures.

  • Evaluates and analyzes all AQP related procedures

  • Authors the FAA required Annual Report and provides the appropriate analysis of the data collected by the AQP Program

  • Coordinates with the Director of Safety to ensure a quarterly review of data related to voluntary programs.

  • Fosters the Company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment.

  • Screens, interviews and makes recommendations for hiring potential employees. Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of direct reports. Provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions and oversees training and development of staff.

  • Performs various other duties as assigned.




  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Aviation and/or Airline Transportation license with at least 3 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Familiar with FAA Advisory Circular 120-54A.Knowledge of the systematic methodology of Instruction System Development (ISD)

  • Prefer a Master’s degree or equivalent in Aviation.

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.


  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight and weekend travel.
