Duties and Responsibilities:
POSITION PURPOSE :
Administers the overall Disaster Recovery Program and optimizes the IT infrastructure and applications resiliency. Improves business survival by reducing IT vulnerability and risks to business units, minimizes the impact of a disaster or major failure and maintains a predetermined level of service in the event of a disaster.
Identifies, tracks and assists with remediation of IT system vulnerabilities. Makes recommendations to minimize the impact of a disaster or major failure; maintains a predetermined level of services in the event of a disaster.
Serves as the project manager for all Disaster Recovering planning company-wide.
Assist business units with:
Assessment of potential business impact (Business Impact Analysis)
Defining critical and time-sensitive functions
Designing, developing, and documenting an inventory of critical business systems and applications.
Recommends recovery strategies and options, and assists with the implementation of recovery solutions.
Develops schedules for training and awareness for business partner associates.
Coordinates development of business unit schedules for annual business continuity documentation updates.
Facilitates business continuity plan exercises. Facilitates drills and evaluates successes of drills.
Conducts audits, gap analyses and new technology assessments with the goal of improving Disaster Recovery plans.
Tests Incident Response Plans and responds to major incidents.
Assists with the Information Security Awareness Program by educating associates on disaster recovery, incident communication plans and policies and procedures.
Facilitates various information security projects; serves as project manager.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Specialty training beyond high school in Information Technology or Project Management or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 3 years related experience.
Strong project management skills.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Information Technology.
At least 5 years related experience.
Certification in DR, BCP, CRISC, CISSP, and/or Project Management preferred.
